Nature Play Session FAQWhat age group is Petal & Play for?
Petal & Play is designed for children of all ages. Generally, our sessions through the term are toddlers that are walking, right up to 6 years. Activities are open-ended and adaptable, allowing each child to participate in a way that suits their stage of development and interests.
You know your child best, so if you're unsure whether a session is the right fit, please get in touch. I'd be happy to chat.
Can I bring siblings?
Absolutely! Babies under 12 months attend free with a booked sibling. Children over 12 months require their own ticket, with discounted sibling pricing available.
What should we bring?
We suggest that you bring a hat, a water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing and sunscreen/insect repellent. Gumboots and rain jackets are always encouraged during the cooler months.
Do parents stay during the session?
Yes. Petal & Play is a parent or carer accompanied program. You're welcome to join in alongside your child or simply observe while they explore. There is no expectation to lead activities, just to enjoy the experience together and supervise your child throughout the session.
What happens if it rains?
We embrace the changing seasons and many sessions continue in light rain with suitable adjustments. If severe weather makes it unsafe to proceed, families will be notified as early as possible and offered a suitable alternative in line with our Terms & Conditions.
Are sessions suitable for children with additional needs?
Yes. Petal & Play welcomes all children and aims to create a calm, inclusive environment. If your child has any additional needs, allergies or medical considerations, please let me know before your session so we can work together to support them.
What if my child is unwell or we can't attend?
We understand that little ones get sick. Where possible, we'll do our best to transfer your booking or provide a credit in accordance with our Terms & Conditions. Please let us know as soon as you can if you're unable to attend.
What happens after booking?
You will receive a pre-session email within 24 hours of your booking with all the details you will need!
